Quick Info for Partners & Referrals

This page is meant to be a resource for those looking to partner or refer me to friends, family and clients. To begin a few introductory links:

  • You can learn more about me on the About Devin page.

  • And here’s a very basic overview:

    • What I do: I’m an Interspiritual/Interfaith Minister, a Transformative Mediator and an intuitive Life, Relationship and Business Coach.

    • Why I do this work: Fifteen years ago, I went through a pretty profound pivot in my life. That’s a long story that you can watch/listen to in this video. The general idea is that without having the language at the time, I started to recognize in myself where I was disconnected and moved more towards connection, and I also started down a path of helping others to mitigate disconnection and foster more connection.

    • That started with life coaching, which soon also became relationship and business coaching for soulpreneurs.

    • Eventually I felt called to study spirituality and religion and how I could support people in connecting more spiritually to themselves and something greater than them.

    • In the end, all of this was about connection, which is what my work, my purpose and passion is all about. The Connected Way is all about helping people to live more connected to their Self, Others and Spirituality.

  • You can learn about all the services I provide on the Services Page.

This video speaks to my beliefs around and approach to transitions and rituals.

A Minister for The Big Stuff in Life

In our capitalistic culture, we tend to move pretty quickly and so much is not honored. If we lived in a slower culture that had more intention and connection, we would be more intentional about honoring the big things we go through. So I support people, honor them, celebrate them, validate them and really help them to be with the significance of the transitions they are going through - harnessing the profound opportunity of the transitions they’re experiencing. I provide both spiritual/transition counseling and design and facilitate unique, personalized rituals. Here are some of the experiences I help with:

*a note about The Tough Stuff

We tend to skate over a lot of experiences in our culture that are considered “shameful.” We either push through them or we sweep it under the rug. That is a huge disservice to us and the world. It breeds disconnection. These experiences deserve our attention yet don’t often get it.

Processing and being with our experiences is so important. It is not prioritized in our culture and so it’s not automatic. But it is essential. If we don’t process things and honor our experiences, we can get stuck in them and they can really impact us. And the shame in particular can poison us from the inside out.

My hope is to support people in the tough stuff - to help them feel seen, to process and integrate their experiences, to feel less shame and to feel less alone.

Navigating Conflict & Decisions with Intention

We experience conflict all the time in our lives, but we aren’t always able to communicate with people in a way that resolves a conflict. That’s super normal. But I see opportunities in conflict to transform the relationship between people but also people’s relationships with themselves.

I help couples, families, colleagues, leaders and groups that are experiencing conflict or making decisions and creating something new to not only find a path forward, but also to experience transformation in the process. The ideal end goal with the Conflict Transformation work I do is for each person in the situation to feel seen, heard, recognized and empowered. Ideally we find the best possible path forward for the situation, but that’s not always what completion looks like.

This work is a blend of my Transformative Mediation training (kind of the anti-colonial anti-capitalistic version of mediation) and my many years of relationship coaching.

This work can be proactive - coming up with structures, lines of communication and agreements that will build a foundation for you to hopefully avoid confusion and conflict in the future. Or, it can be reactive - a conflict has arisen and it needs to be addressed.

In this work, my goal is for all parties involved to feel seen, heard, and understood, and to find a clear, healthy path forward.

Referrals

You can obviously refer me anytime directly to someone who you think might be a good fit or benefit from some of the work I do. The best referral is a direct introduction from you to the two of us. You can send that email to devin@theconnectedway.com. You can also of course share my website anytime and people can also find me on instagram @revdev_theconnectedway.com.

You may know people who would be good referral sources for my work. The best referral sources are anyone who works with people in spaces around endings and beginnings:

  • End of Life: death doulas, hospice or palliative care workers, therapists

  • New Life/Babies: doulas, OBGYNs

  • Miscarriages, Abortions, Fertility Decisions: OBGYNs (especially any that perform abortions)

  • Gender Affirmation & Other Affirmations: Gender Affirming Care Providers/Therapists

  • Relationship Commitments: wedding planners, venues, photographers

  • Relationship Endings: therapists, lawyers

  • Anyone who encounters people in conflict: Therapists, Lawyers, Managers and Leaders in Companies, especially CEOs, COOs and Operations or HR Managers

Meet Your Minister (Rev Dev)

  • I am not your traditional minister. I am a spiritual person who loves to support others. I feel it is my role to be an instrument of love and connection in the world.

  • I’m Interspiritual & Interfaith. I believe that each faith is valid and is essentially talking about the same fundamental truths in different languages. The truth of connection, divine love and meaning.

  • I’m intuitive. I can pick up on things that are going on under the surface. I can see where the resonance and the dissonance.

  • I’m empathetic. I hold you,  your feelings and your experiences compassionately and as part of a sacred journey.

  • I have a way with words. My intuition also translates to communication - I am able to clearly communicate with you and with your guests, bringing things into clarity and beauty.

  • I’m deeply loving. I with hug you (if you want), but more so, I will love you fiercely - protecting you from influences that may negatively impact your experience, and helping you to stay connected to your wholeness and lovability.

  • I’m real. I am a pretty direct person. I am a contemporary version of a minister - I show up genuinely as myself, I just happen to be an ordained minister.
