"Come See Me in the Good Light" (Andrea Gibson Documentary) Community Screening to benefit Maine Trans Net

  • Equality Community Center 15 Casco Street Portland, ME, 04101 United States (map)

Andrea Gibson is a gift to us all: a clear and poignant voice of our generation, a queer role model and an embracer of the full, authentic human condition. Andrea’s devastating departure from the earth on July 14, 2025 sent waves of grief as well as profound gratitude and love through the community.

Prior to Gibson’s too-soon departure, a documentary was filmed about them and their spouse Megan Falley facing Andrea’s terminal cancer diagnosis.

On October 22nd, we will gather to watch the documentary as a community, because it just feels right to watch this and honor this incredible soul and the journey this couple has navigated together by being in community. We will also connect a bit with Andrea’s poetry, connect with one another and support the Queer Community in small unique ways.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be given directly to MaineTrans.Net.

All proceeds from snacks sold for the screening will go directly to the Maine Trans Poetics Archive.
